Many thanks for the audio file of our QSO, it was great to hear how my audio comes across. I now know not to alter my audio settings. I remember our QSO very well due to the great quality of the transmission as you sounded as if you were in the next room. I wonder was it sporadic E?
Have a great 2016 and happy DXing. William |

Good morning Gerald,
Thank you so much for the mp3 file. I have enjoyed it very much. You have a fine looking website. The videos with your dogs are outstanding. I had dogs for more than 26 years. The last one was a fine looking beagle. He died good 2 years ago. I'm 74 years old and have not enough power for a new dog. But a life without a dog can be sometimes a poor life, but we have our radio which is a great tool.
I prefer CW, DX on the low bands and contest. Looking for the comming DX-peditions from Palmyra, South Sandwich, South Georgia and Heard Island. Need them all on 160m.
My antenna for the next month is a quarter wave vertical for 160m, with 120 radials on the surface of the ground. Using this antenna also for 80m and 40m.
Let me take the opportunity to wish you and yours a Happy New Year. Good health and good DX.
Hope to hear you again Gerald.
